What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic material. They are attached to your natural eyelashes individually, not to the skin (each synthetic is attached to a natural eyelash). It is a very enhancing beauty service and you do not need to use any mascara while wearing these eyelash extensions. It is a very careful and precise service that requires both skill and training. Once applied, these lashes are so natural looking it is difficult to tell even up close that you have extensions on. We carry a large selection of different styles of lashes ranging in different thicknesses, lengths and styles. Eyelashes are not for everyone. This is a very high maintenance beauty treatment. It requires very gentle care in order for the lashes to last long and remain in good condition.

What should I do prior to my appointment?
Try to arrive without any eye makeup and DO NOT curl your eyelashes that day.

What should I do after my appointment?
Avoid steam rooms or massages and facials for 24 hours after application. While your false lashes are now adhered to your real ones, you need to allow 24 hours for the glue to fully set. DO NOT curl your lashes with the extensions and DO NOT wear mascara.

How should I care for my lashes after the first 24 hours?
It is extremely important that you follow the instructions below to ensure that your extensions last and remain in good condition.

Key points to remember:
- Do not perm or tint lashes before or after lash extension application
- Do not use a regular eyelash curler to curl extensions
- Do not rub your eyes or play/touch your lashes
- Do not touch your lashes when washing your face. Clean around eyes with a lint free face cloth
- Do not pull your lash extensions, you will remove your natural lash as well
- Do not use a sauna while wearing eyelash extensions
- Do not use any oil-based cleansers or makeup
- Do not use mascara
- Do not sleep on your face
- When showering, avoid facing the shower head and blasting your lashes off

Do lash extensions damage or cause your lashes to fall out?
The lash adhesive is formulated to create a solid bond, specifically for human lashes, so they do not damage your eyelashes at all! You will see eyelashes fall out but not to worry! Each lash grows and sheds naturally just like scalp and body hair, in a cycle. The cycle lasts approximately 60 to 90 days. Each lash grows at its own speed and each lash is always at a different stage in its cycle. Eyelash extensions will shed sporadically, replacement is necessary to replenish the new growth of lashes every two to three weeks.

What if I wear contacts?
If you wear contacts please remove contact lenses and wear glasses to your appointment, or bring a lens case and remove them when you arrive.

Some of the lashes fell out, what do I do?
You can either put up with it (really no one notices but you!), come in for a fill or have them all removed.

How long do the lashes last?
Everyone is different. Please remember that as you become accustomed to the extensions and have more practice maintaining the lashes, the time between refills can be extended. Your lifestyle and general aftercare will affect how long the lashes will last. Lash Virgins can last one to three weeks but regular users last up to six weeks.

Who may not be suitable to get eyelash extensions done?
Miss Eye Rubber- It is suggested that if you are an "eye-rubber" due to allergies such as hay fever or rubbing your eyes is a habit, you may not be able to wear extensions.

Miss Sensitivity- Having irritation around the eye area after using skin care or makeup, extensions may not suit you.

Miss "I Have No Lashes"- A person with out any lashes may not wear lashes because there is no where to place them. Extensions must be placed on the natural lash and not the skin.

The Golden Rule for wearing eyelash extensions:
"The Less You Touch Them, The Longer They Will Last!" However it is important to keep the eye area clean.
